Village of Mahomet -

A Solicitor's permit has been issued to Marco Vukovic with Southwestern Advantage. The permit is valid beginning July 23-July 26th AND July 28-July 29th. As a reminder, solicitation is permitted Monday-Saturday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

All Village of Mahomet Water Customers- We have been receiving phone calls from residents that they have not received their water bills. All bills were mailed out on July 2nd and are due on July 20th, if you have not received your bill, please contact us at 217-586-4456 to obtain a copy.

The Public Works Department will be spraying the joints and cracks along the Main Street between Lincoln and Lombard Streets from July 16-18th (weather permitting).

**ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE**
County Road 2000N will be closed on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 (weather permitting) for paving. The closure will be from the River Bridge to County Road 150E.

Road Closure-Please be advised that on July 14, 2025, S. Prairieview Road will be closed for paving. The closure will begin at S. Mahomet Road and go south to the railroad crossing.

The following road work will begin tomorrow.
Colony Grove paving is scheduled for Thursday July 10
Western Hills paving is scheduled for Friday July 11

Update for July 1: The first mast arm got relocated this morning and signals were put back in normal operation at 9 this morning. The other mast arm is being moved tomorrow Tuesday, July 1. This work should also be done mid-morning tomorrow. The remaining signals will be flashing red which means ALL WAY STOP. Thank you for your patience.

Starting Monday June 30: The intersection of Churchill and US 150 will be put into Flashing Red Mode while the signals are down for 2 or 3 days. The signal mast arms are being taken down and moved. The remaining signals will be flashing red which means ALL WAY STOP. This will cause delays during the busier morning and afternoon hours. Thank you for your patience.

Update for the Churchill Drive and 150 construction-the traffic signals will not be moved until next week as opposed to this week.

Feutz will be extending Watermain across 425E on Monday June 23. This is part of the Harvest edge development. 425E will be closed at S. Mahomet Rd. and at 1900N for local traffic only. This is only for Monday.

PSA-Village of Mahomet water customers who receive their bills electronically inadvertently received a second bill on Friday, June 6, 2025. The billing software company was conducting an update and in doing so inadvertently emailed out an old bill from 2024. Please be advised that this bill was not added to your account and the bill you received on Monday, June 2nd, that is due on June 20, 2025 is your correct bill and amount. We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion.

Mahomet Soda Fest is this Saturday, June 14th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. The festival will take place in Downtown Mahomet.

Solicitation Permits have been issued for the following companies. Pavlov Media Sun Run Solar Axguard Solar Solicitation is permitted Monday -Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If you are approached please ask to see their current solicitation permit, if they cannot produce the paper copy with the Village of Mahomet seal, or if they are soliciting after the permitted hours please call the non-emergency phone number 217-333-8911 to alert the Mahomet Police Department.

The Public Works Department will be spraying the alleys, and the bike path between the Forrest Preserve and Briarcliff Drive on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

US 150 and Churchill Road Construction Update June 5, 2025 Road Construction - Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter, and Shoulder removal this week. Daytime lane shifts will begin tomorrow (weather permitting). Sidewalks will be closed on the south side of US 150 starting this week, into August.

The Transportation Department will be spraying around-abouts and lift stations on Friday, May 23, 2025.

NOTICE : FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING The Village of Mahomet Water Department is flushing fire hydrants the week of May 12 these neighborhoods: Oak Creek Conway Farms Sandy Ridge Hunters Ridge Middletown Prairie Elementary School East US Rt 150 Commercial Area Hydrants are flushed twice a year to remove iron deposits and sediment from the system. Fire hydrant flushing helps maintain water quality and pressure. It also allows us to know that the hydrants are working properly. Please look for signs of discoloration before using water. If water appears dirty, run cold tap water until it is clear.
