Brush & Limb Collection-Crews will be out today beginning in Area 3. Area's 1 and 2 have already been collected.

Brush & Limb Collection Update-Crews were able to finish Area 1, Thornewood and Briarcliff Subdivisions.
BRUSH & LIMB COLLECTION UPDATE-Crews are picking up in Area 1 today and will continue into Area 2 tomorrow. With the forecasting of snow Thursday night and into Friday, the collection will stop and will resume again once they are able to continue.

LEAF COLLECTION UPDATE-All areas are now complete.
Leaf Collection Update-Area 4 is Complete. Crews are now moving into Area 5.
Leaf Collection Update-Area 3 is complete and in Area 4, north of the river is also complete. Crews will start Country Ridge and Lakes of Riverbend in the morning.

As a Reminder-If you have a curb ramp for your driveway, please remove them ahead of the forecasted snow.

Leaf Collection-This is the last week for collection. Crews started in Area 1 this morning and will go through all the areas by end of day Wednesday. In years past, crews have added an additional week however, with the snow in the forecast there will not be an additional week this year.

Public notice is hereby given to all persons that the Village of Mahomet Plan and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Village of Mahomet Administrative Office, 503 East Main Street, Mahomet, Illinois, regarding proposed amendments to Chapter 152 of the Municipal Code, the Zoning Code of the Village of Mahomet. The proposed text amendments will amend the Zoning Code to change permitted and conditional uses in the AG Agricultural district, to change conditional uses in the C-1 Neighborhood Commercial district and to add and amend related definitions. Effected Zoning Ordinance sections are as follows:

Information concerning the proposed text amendment will be available for examination on the Village website www.mahomet-il.gov on November 28, 2025. Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding the request either in person at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Public comments related to this case may be submitted in hard copy at the Administrative Office (503 East Main Street, Mahomet) before 2:00 pm on December 2, 2025, or by email submission to Abby Heckman, Village Planner aheckman@mahomet-il.gov no later than 4:00 pm on December 2, 2025, to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings.
